Job Title: Management Accountant
Job Description:
I. Purpose of the Position
The management accountant is responsible for providing financial and operational support to the management team, with a focus on cost and profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
II. Key Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to assist management in making informed business decisions
Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and procedures, and analyze costs to provide detailed and accurate cost information to management
Participate in budget and forecasting activities and provide financial analysis to support business decisions
Assess and analyze the financial performance of the company, including variances from the established budget and the reasons for those variances
Identify and evaluate business and financial risks and opportunities
Provide support for the implementation of new accounting systems and processes
Communicate financial information and advice to non-financial managers and employees
Maintain and develop internal control systems to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Continuously monitor and analyze internal processes to identify areas for improvement and cost savings
Other duties as assigned by management
III. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of accounting and financial principles and regulations
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, and experience with accounting software
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Reports to: Financial Controller/CFO
