Job Title: Fleet Manager

Purpose: The Fleet Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and cost-effective. This includes managing the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles, as well as managing the drivers and their compliance with laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the acquisition, maintenance, and disposal of vehicles in the fleet.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the safe and efficient operation of vehicles.
Monitor and manage fleet-related expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best prices and service.
Monitor and enforce compliance with laws and regulations related to fleet operations, including safety and environmental regulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all vehicles, including registration, insurance, and maintenance records.
Manage and train drivers, including monitoring their compliance with laws and regulations, and providing training on safe driving practices.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency in fleet operations.
Conduct regular audits and inspections of vehicles and drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Continuously review and improve fleet management processes and systems.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fleet management.
Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of laws and regulations related to fleet operations.
Experience with fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proven track record of reducing costs and improving efficiency in fleet operations.
Current driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Reports to: Logistics Manager or Operations Manager

Type of Position: Full-time

Salary: Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.
