Job Title: Finance Assistant
Purpose: The Finance Assistant is responsible for providing support to the finance department by performing a variety of tasks related to financial analysis, budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, billing, tax compliance, cost management, financial forecasting, and cash flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Assist in the management of cash flow and financial forecasting.
Assist in the reconciliation of bank statements and other financial accounts.
Assist in the preparation for audits.
Assist in the preparation of billing invoices and ensure timely collections.
Assists in maintaining accurate records of financial transactions by posting journal entries and reconciling various accounts
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including tax compliance.
Perform other duties as assigned by the finance department.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Reports to: Financial Controller or Chief Financial Officer
Type of Position: Full-time
