Balance Sheet and Accounts Payable Accountant

Job Description:
ABC Staffing Solutions is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Balance Sheet and
Accounts Payable Accountant for a long-term contract position with one of our clients. The
successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the balance sheet and
accounts payable accounts and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and
accruals
Review and process accounts payable invoices and payments
Monitor and maintain vendor accounts and ensure timely payment of invoices
Prepare and record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and
reports
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance
with financial policies and procedures
Identify and resolve discrepancies and issues related to balance sheet and accounts payable
accounts
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Experience with accounting software and ERP systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
CPA or other accounting certifications is a plus
