Job Description:
EDEA-HR is currently seeking an experienced and strategic Buyer for a long-term contract position
with one of our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing of
goods and services for the company, ensuring that the company’s needs are met while maintaining
cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of
goods and services
Source and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best possible
terms and conditions
Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure that the company has sufficient stock to meet
demand
Coordinate and manage the purchase order process, including issuing purchase orders,
tracking deliveries and coordinating with suppliers
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures and negotiate and resolve any
disputes
Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods and
services
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience with procurement software and tools
Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory and logistics concepts
