Job Title: Head of Development

Reports to: CEO or CTO

Purpose: The Head of Development is responsible for leading the development team and ensuring the successful delivery of software and technology products. They will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to set the technology vision and strategy for the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development team and manage the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Set the technology vision and strategy for the company in alignment with the company’s overall goals and objectives
Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to define and prioritize product features
Ensure the delivery of high-quality software and technology products on time and within budget
Manage and mentor development team members, providing guidance and direction to ensure their professional growth
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption where appropriate
Communicate with stakeholders to ensure their needs are being met and their expectations are being exceeded
Ensure that development practices are compliant with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience leading development teams
Experience in delivering software and technology products in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Strong understanding of software development methodologies and practices
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
